Chris Eubank Jr will fight against Conor Benn at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday, October 8, the fighters have confirmed.
The intriguing match up pitches the sons of two famous boxers against each other years after Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn competed in the ring in 1990 while competing for the WBO Middleweight title, a bout won by Benn in a tight decision.
The fight had been rumoured for a while but has now been confirmed by the promoters of the two boxers, with DAZN's £7.99 a month subscription service set to show the fight.
Details of the fight itself are in short supply with rumours the fight could come in at around 156lbs, given Benn is a Welterweight and Eubank Jr usually comes in the Middleweight range.
Fans will be keen to get their hands on tickets for the event but details have not yet been announced for when they will be one sale. It is likely they will be available on Ticketmaster and possibly the likes of AXS, which often has ticketing options for the O2 Arena in London.
Ticketmaster sells many of the UK's biggest fights, with tickets for heavyweight clash Joyce vs Parker in Manchester on sale this week. Youtuber KSI's latest fight is also on sale on the platform, hinting that the Eubank Jr vs Benn Jr fight will be no different.
In the lead up to he fight Eubank Jr says: "I grew up watching their legendary battles and always wanting to emulate that, and find my own arch nemesis… could this now be Conor Benn? We will find out," said Eubank Jr.
"He has walked the same path as I have. I know his struggle. Living in the shadow of a legend and trying to break out of that shadow and make his own name. If he can beat me, his name will be made, and he will never walk in his father's shadow again."
Benn said: "This fight is for the legacy and was an opportunity I felt I couldn't pass up.
