Where the NFL’s top 101 free agents have signed in 2023

The NFL offseason officially began when the Kansas City Chiefs polished off their Super Bowl 57 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. But the exciting part of the offseason doesn’t get underway until March 13.

That’s when teams and free agents are allowed to officially begin negotiations on new contracts. A flurry of deals will occupy the three days between the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament’s selection Sunday and the start of March Madness, sending social media and sports radio into a frenzy discussing contracts whose net value will climb over a billion dollars.

We know who the most coveted veterans on the market will be — we’ve got a loose ranking of the top 101 of them here. But we don’t know where they’ll end up until the Tweets start flying March 13. And when that news breaks, we’ll have all the updates in the list below.

Tier I: The coveted difference-makers

Paul Rutherford-USA TODAY Sports

1. QB Lamar Jackson

  • Who is he? 2022’s second-best available blocker and more likely to change his address than Brown. McGary’s vast improvement could be an outlier or a sign of things to come. He’s probably overvalued here, but this isn’t a great year for the OT market.

8. LB Bobby Wagner

  • 2022 team: Rams
  • 2023 Team: Seahawks
  • Contract terms: One year, $7 million

  • 2022 Team: Saints
  • 2023 Team: Falcons
  • Contract terms: Three years, $21.5 million ($11 million guaranteed)

  • 2022 Team: Giants
  • 2023 Team: Giants
  • Contract terms: Two years, $12 million
