Where the Bears are projected to pick in 2024 NFL draft after Week 7

The Chicago Bears snapped their 10-game home losing streak with a 30-12 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, sending Chicago to a 2-5 record.

So what does a victory mean for the Bears’ current draft hopes?

Following Sunday’s win, the Bears currently hold the two of the top three picks in the 2024 NFL draft, according to Tankathon.

The Carolina Panthers’ first-round pick, which belongs to Chicago, remains the first overall pick. Meanwhile, the Bears’ selection, which has been No. 2 for a few weeks, is now the third overall pick after Chicago’s win and the Arizona Cardinals dropping to 1-6.

  1. Bears (via Panthers, 0-6)
  2. Cardinals (1-6)
  3. Bears (2-5)
  4. Broncos (2-5)
  5. Giants (2-5)

There’s still a lot of season left to be played, and Chicago landing the No. 1 pick is far from a certainty. If they do secure the top selection, general manager Ryan Poles will have an important decision to make — trade it and stick with Justin Fields or use the pick on a quarterback. But that decision is far down the road, especially as other positional concerns continue to rear their ugly heads.

The Panthers remain the only winless team in the NFL, and that didn’t change with the team on a bye week.

While the Minnesota Vikings (2-4) and San Francisco 49ers (5-1) don’t play until Monday night, Chicago’s draft positioning won’t be impacted be either result (after the Vikings defeated the Bears in Week 6).
