Police are asking Where's Wally, as they hunt for a painting of a galah stolen from an Adelaide hospital.
The much-loved Wally the Galah artwork by artist Kelly Batsiokis usually hangs in the cardiology unit of the Lyell McEwin Hospital in Elizabeth Vale, but was stolen on Thursday about lunchtime.
The thief was caught on CCTV outside, strapping the painting to the roof of his VZ Commodore and driving away.
Police searched a house in Salisbury Heights and reported a 38-year-old man for theft and possessing a prohibited weapon.
Officers allegedly found an extendable baton inside the man's house, but Wally remains on the wing.
Unit staff have been devastated by the theft and would love to have the painting returned safely, Northern Adelaide Local Health Network director of cardiology Margaret Arstall said.
"We are working closely with the police and doing everything possible to aid their investigation," Associate Professor Arstall said in a statement.
"Someone out there knows what happened and where Wally is."
The painting was bought in 2022 and made the cardiology waiting room a beautiful and stress-reducing place, she said.
The man will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date.
Police are urging anyone who knows the whereabouts of Wally the Galah to contact Crime Stoppers.
