Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's baby boy has arrived and the new royal will bump the King's brother Prince Edward down the line of succession.
The couple welcomed their second son Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank into the world on May 30, the Mirror reports.
The Princess took to Instagram to announce the news as she posted two adorable snaps of the newborn, revealing that he weighed 7lb 1oz at birth.
In the caption, she wrote: "Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs.
"He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald. Augie is loving being a big brother already."
The newest royal sits 13th in line to the throne downgrading the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward to 14th place and sits below his elder brother August Philip Hawke Brooksbank in 12th place.
Eugenie and Jack's first born had initially been 11th in line when he was born in February 2021 but was moved down the list when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter Lilibet was born and slotted into seventh place.
Ernest is the 13th great-grandchild of the Queen and is also the first royal to be born since she passed away last September.
The young royal will not receive a title or HRH status as he is not a grandchild of the current monarch King Charles who is his great uncle.
Eugenie, 33 was heavily pregnant at the time of the Coronation but still managed to attend the ceremony on May 6 as she previously announced on her Instagram in January that she was expecting her second child.
Buckingham Palace also released a statement about the exciting news which read: "Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are pleased to announce they are expecting their second child this summer.
"The family are delighted and August is very much looking forward to being a big brother."
On her personal Instagram account, the mother-of-two shared a sweet picture of her son August kissing her baby bump.
In the adorable snap, taken by Jack, Eugenie and August are wrapped up in woolly hats, matching trousers and wellies as August embraces his mother's bump while they're stood by a fence in a leaf-strewn field.
She wrote: "We're so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer."
Eugenie's first son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank was born on February 9 2021 at the exclusive Portland Hospital in central London.
