Manchester students can bag themselves some free Thai food in celebration of Freshers Week.
Thaikhun is serving up free Pad Thai from its Spinningfields eatery on Thursday (September 22). The restaurant is also giving students the chance to ride a tuk tuk - Thailand's traditional taxi - through the city, with a private tour departing outside the University of Manchester campus.
The tuk tuk ride finishes at Thaikhun, on Hardman Street, where students will be dropped off to enjoy the country's traditional dish free of charge. The tour will run from 12pm-5pm at the University of Manchester campus on Thursday.

While they're at it, freshers will also have the chance to win a complimentary meal for four. To enter, all you need to do is upload a photo of yourself at Thaikhun restaurant, or with the Thaikhun tuk tuk, using #ThaikhunTakeover on Facebook or Instagram.
A winner will be selected at random after the event and given a complimentary meal for four people, to be redeemed within 30 days. Thaikhun, which is pronounce ‘tycoon’ and translates to ‘your Thai restaurant,' offers a selection of Thai street food inspired by the food markets of Bangkok.
Dishes include curries, stir fries, fried rice and chicken wings. Thaikhun Manchester's restaurant manager said: "We’re so excited to be bringing this exclusive and totally unique experience to Manchester Freshers Week, offering students a free ride in a tuk tuk and a complimentary Pad Thai at Thaikhun.
"We can’t wait to welcome students and freshers into our restaurant to enjoy our signature dish for free, for one day only. They can also win a dining experience for four guests by simply uploading a photo of themselves either at the restaurant or with the Thaikhun tuk tuk using #ThaikhunTakeover on Instagram.
"We will select a winner at random after the event and contact them the next day where they can redeem their prize within 30 days. We encourage all students in the city to enter, no matter what University you’re at. It certainly won’t be one to miss!"
