Where Love Island 2022 stars went to university - and Davide's unexpected course

Love Island might have come to an end for another summer, but this year’s islanders are only just getting started with their new lives in the spotlight.

With the likes of winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu and Davide Sanclimenti announcing they’re getting their own ITV2 show, and Tasha Ghouri becoming the first ever preloved ambassador for eBay, the islanders are on track for some pretty impressive careers.

But before they rose to fame on the iconic dating show, most of them had fairly humble careers, but which islanders attended university and where did they study?

The Queen of Love Island 2022 Ekin-Su quickly earned herself the title of the biggest Drama Queen in the villa, so it’s perhaps unsurprising that the Turkish Delight earned a degree in Performing Arts from the University of Central Lancashire in Preston.

During her stint in the villa, footage of one of her university projects - a reality show called Lancashore - went viral, proving she was always destined to be a TV star.

After uni, Ekin put her qualification to good use by becoming a soap star in her parents’ native Turkey, because as Davide liked to point out, she was an ACTERESSS!

Davide Sanclimenti

Love Island fans were surprised to learn what winner Davide Sanclimenti does for a living (ITV)

Italian Stallion and Love Island 2022 winner Davide might just be the most well educated islander of all time - as well as the best carbonara chef the villa has ever seen.

It’s well-documented that Davide is an incredibly successful businessman, but it’s unsurprising when you take a look at his CV.

In 2017, the 27-year-old graduated from the University of L’Aquila in central Italy, with a bachelor’s degree in Economics & Business Administration.

Two years later, Davide completed an MSC in Accounting & Finance from University of Salford in Greater Manchester, before completing a Master’s degree in Finance & Banking from the University of Rome the following year.

Davide is now the Director of his own company, S Delux Shisha, which provides luxury electronic Shisha devices to special events.

Dami Hope

Cheeky chappy Dami might have made some silly decisions during his time in the villa, but he is one intelligent man.

Before entering the villa, he was working as a Senior Biologist after studying at Liverpool Hope University.

Although it’s unclear exactly which course Dami studied, it’s likely that he studied a degree relating to life forms which cause viruses and diseases.

Tasha Ghouri

Tasha has a first class degree (ITV)

Fourth place runner up Tasha might not have won Love Island 2022, but she arguably went on the biggest journey of all the islanders.

On the very first day, Tasha announced her superpower, informing the other islanders that she was born completely deaf and could only communicate in sign language until having her hearing aid fitted when she was five years old.

And, while the slow-fashion queen never let her disability hold her back, it arguably makes her career even more impressive, after she went on to graduate with a first class degree in Dance Performance from the Creative Academy in 2019.

Paige Thorne

Paige might have described herself as "just a paramedic from Swansea" when comparing herself to Brazilian bombshell Nathalia, but if any of the islanders ever found themselves in difficulty, we know who we’d rather have around to help.

The wifey-material Welsh girl went through heartbreak after returning from Casa Amour to discover Jacques had been unfaithful, before eventually finding happiness with Geordie gym owner Adam.

During Adam’s first stint in the Love Island villa in 2018, Paige was busy studying away at her Paramedic Science degree at Swansea University, which she graduated from in 2019.

Paige recently revealed she would soon be returning to her job in the NHS.

Liam Llewellyn

He was unlucky in love so chose to leave the villa before the first dumping, yet student Liam still remained a fan favourite thanks to his ongoing catchphrase, Love Island babyyyyyy.

Not long before entering the villa Liam, from Newport in South Wales, completed his degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where he continues to study for his master’s in Strength & Conditioning.

Danica Taylor

Spicy dancer Danica could probably bag herself a job at LinkedIn thanks to her interviewing abilities, but as we all know, the 21-year-old has got some seriously impressive moves.

Although it’s unclear where she studied, Danica is said to have recently earned a degree in dance, after being privately educated in Leicester.

After her studies, the twerk queen performed alongside Jax Jones at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball before bombshelling her way into the villa.

It took six attempts to find her man, before finally coupling up with footballer Jamie, but at least if her dance career ever flops she can fall back on a career in HR.

Jay Younger

Scottish bombshell Jay caused waves in the villa when he swooped in and turned Ekin-Su’s head, prompting her to temporarily split from Davide, before wingmanning them back together. What a good egg.

Speaking of eggs, the ripped investment analyst left islanders (and viewers) baffled when he revealed his raw egg morning ritual, proving the price you have to pay for abs of steel.

Back in 2017, Jay graduated from Herriot-Watt University with a first class degree in economics and finance.

Charlie Radnedge

Privately educated Charlie spent most of his short stint in the villa trying to convince his fellow islanders that he wasn’t that posh, despite having attended one of the most prestigious boarding schools in the UK.

And, it seems like his £13,000 per term education paid off, as he went on to study at Newcastle University between 2013 and 2016 - although it’s not clear which course he read.

After that, however, Charlie completed his master’s in Real Estate at Henley Business School before launching his career in the property business.

Ikenna Ekwonna

Dami might have stolen Ikenna’s girl Indiyah in the villa, but it turns out he wasn’t the only scientist, as Ikenna also bagged himself a degree in Biomedical Sciences from Nottingham Trent University.

The 23-year-old pressed pause on his career as a pharmaceutical sales specialist to appear on Love Island 2022, but unfortunately he was unlucky in love.
