Where is The Trouble with Maggie Cole filmed? Location of Dawn French's new series revealed

The Trouble with Maggie Cole is back tonight [Wednesday, March 11] for its second episode on ITV.

It's a comedy drama "filled with warmth and intrigue" and features the wonderful Dawn French.

The Vicar of Dibley actress stars alongside Welsh actress Gwyneth Keyworth, who plays Maggie's daughter-in-law Becka Cole, and Benidorm actor Mark Heap who plays Peter Cole.

Last week viewers were on the edge of their seats as Dawn's character Maggie Cole did a radio interview in which she shared secrets about all her friends and neighbours

But while the drama unfolded ITV viewers were left in awe of the incredible locations the set was shot across.

The Trouble with Maggie Cole is set in a fictional picturesque fishing village called Thurlbury - but where was it actually filmed?

The beautiful coastal scenery you see in the show was shot across Cornwall and Devon.

When asked where the scenes were filmed on Twitter, Dawn replied: "Some in Cornwall. Some In Devon."

She also shared snaps from a beach and in front of Launceston Castle while working, joking that filming among the scenery was "bleddy awful."

Other locations included Burgh Island in South Devon and various places in and around Plymouth.

According to Plymouth Live these included Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers.

The Trouble with Maggie Cole will air six hour long episodes on ITV so viewers can spend their Tuesday nights taking in the incredible landscapes.
