There's a new bunch of Islanders and a new host as Love Island returns for its new series on Monday night and the new series will be based in a brand spanking new villa.
Less than six months after now Dancing on Ice star Ekin-Su and other half Davie won the last run of Love Island, the long running ITV2 dating show is back as Maya Jama takes the reins for the time. Love Island first went to South Africa at the start of 2020, with Paige and Finn still the only winter winners to date.
But that will soon change as the new Love Island line-up appear on screen for the first time this week, including a Michelle Keegan oy double, a Benidorm extra and someone called Will Young, but not the Pop Idol one!
The Islanders went into the villa over the weekend and will be seen for the first time on Monday night at 9pm, when the boys do the picking, as the girls walk in one-by-one, all under the watchful eye of new host Maya.
Where is the Love Island villa?
The villa for the new series isn't the same one used in 2020. The new crop of singles will be searching for romance in the 25-acre estate of Ludus Magnus in Franschhoek, near Cape Town.
It is quite possibly the most glamorous and luxurious villa to date, with a massive outdoor swimming pool. As ever, there is a gym, a hideaway, which will be opened at producers' discretion and a brand new secluded tree house area, which Love Island bosses will be hoping is home to some sweet and scandalous moments.
While it's not 100% clear just how much of the estate Love Island will be taking up, in total it boasts 17 bedrooms, as well as a 400m running track, state-of-the-art rugby field, and a zip line.
