SAS: Who Dares returns to screens on Monday, as 20 new recruits are put through the ultimate endurance test in the most gruelling conditions. The latest series of the hit Channel 4 show is swapping the Middle Eastern desert for the South Asian jungle, in what the broadcaster describes as “the ultimate test of man versus the elements.”
Ahead of the series launch, Channel 4 said: “In this eighth series of SAS: Who Dares Wins, a new group of recruits face the toughest challenge of their life, in one of the toughest environments faced by Special Forces operatives. Vietnam is flooded with conflict history and is where the rules of guerrilla warfare were re-written.
“The conditions can work for or against, push you or break you, but ultimately only the toughest survive.”

In SAS: Who Dares Wins – Jungle Hell, the recruits find themselves deep in the jungle in Thung Ui, North Vietnam. Series regular Billy Billingham – who is taking on chief instructor duties for the series – called the location “one of the most brutal jungles in the world.”
Describing the conditions the recruits will face, he said: “Vietnam is an extraordinary type of jungle and this really is jungle hell. It’s very mountainous, with challenging terrain under a humid canopy, creating claustrophobia and fear.
