Where is Phillip Schofield on ITV Dancing On Ice? Presenter replaced by Stephen Mulhern in tonight's show

Fans of Dancing On Ice may be wondering why Phillip Schofield is not on the ITV show tonight.

Phillip usually presents the ice-skating competition every Sunday night alongside his This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby.

But tonight viewers will instead see Stephen Mulhern take his place, as Phil has been forced to pull out of the show.

Phillip Schofield has been absent from This Morning for the last week after testing positive for coronavirus.

Alison Hammond, Vernon Kay and Josie Gibson were each drafted in to replace Phillip on This Morning whilst he isolates in line with government guidelines.

Current rules state that you need a negative test on day five and six to be able to leave isolation early.

But as he is still testing positive on his lateral flow tests, Phillip has had to miss out on hosting Dancing On Ice tonight.

ITV favourite Stephen Mulhern has been pulled in to replace him, who most may recognise from presenting Britain's Got More Talent, Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and In For a Penny.

Stephen will be presenting alongside Holly Willoughby for the first time since the Ministry of Mayhem back in 2006.

Thrilled to have been picked as Phil's stand-in, Stephen said: "I’m very much looking forward to being back hosting alongside my good friend Holly this weekend. It’s big shoes to fill and I’m wishing Phillip a speedy recovery.

"I’m a big fan of Dancing on Ice and for one night only I’m thrilled to be rink side watching the action unfold. It’s going to be unbelievable."

The presenter switch-up is not the only change that viewers can expect from tonight, as the judges' challenge is set to return for the remain 10 celebrities.

Sharing the news on Twitter, Dancing On Ice wrote: "The Judges' Challenge is BACK tonight.

"This week, each celebrity must perform a solo spin as part of their routine.

"Keep your eyes on the lookout for those spins, and see who can really master the challenge."

Phillip has also announced that he will be absent from This Morning on Monday as he continues to test positive.

The presenter took to his Instagram story to share that his home had a leak.

"If I hadn't tested positive and had gone to Dancing On Ice the house would be flooded," he wrote.

But after posting an image of another positive test, Phil then said: "This really is the day that keeps on giving.

"Sorry @thismorning and @hollywilloughby."
