It also concentrated deeply on the Milwaukee native's family life, touching on relationships with his father Lionel, mother Joyce, stepmother Shari and grandmother Catherine.

And although the youngster is mentioned briefly in a couple of episodes, there's no solid explanation as to what happened to him after he left with Joyce - abandoning his older brother and family respectively. Here, we look at the life of David Dahmer, where he currently is, and what his family relationship is like.
Who is David Dahmer?
David Dahmer is the younger brother of notorious Cannibal Killer, Jeffrey Dahmer. He is six years younger than his older brother, and interestingly enough Lionel and Joyce allowed Jeffrey to pick his name when he was born - the new drama series highlights.
Life was already rocky when David entered the world with his parents constantly arguing and confronting one another, often in front of their two children. David was constantly out working difficult hours, and Joyce suffered from extreme anxiety and became addicted to medication she took to subdue her ailment.
It is also said that David received more attention from his parents than Jeffrey did, leading the would-be serial killer to begin resenting his little brother - according to sources. In 1978, Lionel and Joyce parted ways - with the mother winning a custodial battle for her youngest son.
She took David - who was 12 at the time - with her as she fled the family home. Jeffrey, who was 18 at the time and weeks from graduation remained at the house alone for around three months, with his father constantly working away.
What happened to David Dahmer?
In an interview dated 2004 with TV host Larry King, Lionel Dahmer said that David had since gone on to change his name - wishing that the press would respect his right to privacy. According to Lionel's wife Shari (who is Jeffrey and David's step-mother) he has a stable job, and a strong family including two children.
This interview was the last ever time that anyone heard about David Dahmer, with it remaining unknown as to where he is, what his new name is, or whether he's still alive to this day.
