Emmerdale fans are convinced that Scott Windsor, who was last played by Ben Freeman, could be about to return to the Dales following a rare mention.
During recent scnenes Brenda Walker and Bob Hope discussed Cathy's future after she struggled to sit her exams due to her suffering from Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, which can cause mood swings and difficulty concentrating. While school staff have suggested Cathy should defer her GCSEs for a year, the teen was completely against the idea.
Upset on her behalf, Bob and Brenda shared their frustrations over the situation and thought of ways to help and support her. One of Brenda's ideas was to take Cathy to see her half-brother Scott Windsor.

Brenda said: "I was thinking that I might take her away after her exams. To see Scott. She needs the break." Bob agreed, saying: "He's always been good with her, I think she'd love that."
Scott, (Ben Freeman), left the village in 2007 to stay with an old army friend down in London. The character was initially written out due to rape allegations against the actor but once cleared of the charges, Ben did not return to the soap.
As we wait to find out whether fans are right on the character's return, we have taken a look at what happened to Scott Windsor actor, Ben Freeman, following his departure from the Dales.
Ben played Scott Windsor in the ITV soap from 1996 to 2007. He has since been seen in rival soap EastEnders, playing Caleb Malone in 2021. Before this he appeared in in the BBC soap opera Doctors as Adrian Richards in 2019.
The actor also took the lead role in Robin Hood: The Rebellion and fellow film Hooligan Escape: The Russian Job. When Ben first left Emmerdale he enjoyed many successful stints in musical theatre.
Most notably, the acting star took the lead role of Brad Majors in the UK touring production of The Rocky Horror Show. He also played the Prince in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Warner in the final cast of Legally Blonde and Norman in Dreamboats and Petticoats in West End theatre.
For those who don’t recall Ben’s Emmerdale character Scott Windsor he was something of a bad boy back in the day. His character notoriously had an affair with step-sister Kelly, played by Adele Silva. Could Scott return to his soap roots and stir things up once more?
