Where is BGT's George Sampson now - 3 hair transplants, girlfriend and soap stardom

George Sampson won over the nation's hearts with his hard-working attitude and incredible dance skills when he appeared on the second series of Britain's Got Talent.

At the time, the street dancer was only 14 years old and his amazing talent led him to the dream jobs he has today.

A teenage George sailed through the first round of the talent competition by busting moves to floor-filler athem Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now).

But it was his dance rendition to Mint Royale's big beat remix of Singin' in the Rain - complete with gallons of water lashing over him - that really propelled George to the big time, as viewers and judges were enthralled with his breakdown of the musical classic.

The dancer became one of BGT's many iconic acts and even appeared on BGT: The Champions but where is the star 14 years on?

Successful Stage Career

George, who is now 28, never stopped when it came to his love for being on stage.

He tried his hand at acting with appearances in Waterloo Road, Emmerdale, The Dumping Ground and Casualty.

In 2018, he landed the role of the character Reecey in the theatre tour of the musical Our House.

Our House premiered in 2002 and is based on the songs of the '80s ska band Madness.

George is currently playing the role of Dean in Everybody's Talking About Jamie and usually takes to his Instagram to share updates about the tour.

The dancer usually uploads snaps of him standing on stage in front of an empty theatre in most places he goes to.

In November 2019, he announced the news of him joining the show, writing: "ANNOUNCEMENT: Delighted to announce, I’ll be joining the tour of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, playing the part of Dean, Let’s Goooooo!!! "

Due to the pandemic, the entertainment industry was placed on a long pause before he finally got to return to the stage towards the end of August 2021.

" Back in rehearsals Monday morning to crack the fuck back on with our beautiful tour of this amazing show," he said.

"I can’t begin to tell you how excited, nervous, and so READY I am to get stuck back in and start giving it full beans on stage all over the country."

In January, George had the amazing opportunity to travel to Los Angeles to continue his Everybody's Talking About Jamie role before returning to the UK to finish the tour.

Long-term Girlfriend

Not only does the star have a successful career on stage, but he also has a beautiful girlfriend whom he has been with for two years.

George and Kazmin Borrer both star in Everybody's Talking About Jamie and had the perfect opportunity to get close and fall in love.

He recently took to Instagram to share snaps of the two kissing as they celebrated their two-year anniversary.

"2 years // My favourite person ever," he captioned the sweet post, to which his beau answered: "I love you baby."

Kazmin, who stars as Vicki, shared similar loved-up pictures and wrote: "2 years. Best thing that ever happened to me."

Three hair transplants

George has been open about his hair transplants in the past and even once appeared on This Morning to discuss the process.

He spent £9,000 on his first two operations and had his third one a couple of years ago.

Speaking to hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, he said in 2018: "I'm so happy. It's difficult. I still get hundreds of men messaging me about it.

"I felt like an old man with a babyface, I had to wake up and look in the mirror and think I hate my hairline."

In 2018, he looked happy as he explained the transplant process (ITV)

He also revealed how Wayne Rooney getting a hair transplant at 25 years old gave him the confidence and inspiration to also do it.

A year before, he appeared on the talk show to open up about his first two hair transplants

The star said he had a bald patch that looked like a 'landing strip of bare skin' and had to undergo the two surgeries to transplant hair from the back of his head.

A combination of stress, genetics and spinning on his head during routines resulted in his hair loss.

He said: "I was diagnosed with alopecia... the head-spinning may have been part it."
