Ger who is originally from Kilmaine, Co Mayo remains a “homebird” according to his relatives who revealed his latest spend was investing in Jack Murphy’s pub in Kilmaine.
One of his family members told The Irish Sun that Ger “is doing great.”
They said, ”He has bought a pub in Kilmaine which would have been in the family back in his great grandfather’s time, they would have owned it.
“He just bought that recently. So that was a special purchase alright.
“He is not running it himself, but he bought it, he’s the investor.”
Ger was splashed across Irish headlines after arriving at the National Lottery offices in Dublin to collect his winnings alongside kids.
Six years on, the jackpot-scooping millionaire continues to be bombarded with pleas for cash from strangers.
His bro-in-law Martin said: “It is amazing, there are still people who would hound him if he came into town, people annoying him, looking for money and saying ‘I’ll pay you back’. Sure lookit, they’re in every town.
“He is keeping himself busy, he has a few horses and he’s enjoying it.”
