A second straight loss for the Spartans has them dropping in the latest complete 1-134 college football rankings from USA TODAY.
Each week during the season, Paul Myerberg releases a rankings list of all 134 teams in FBS college football, and Michigan State has dropped for a second straight week. Michigan State now sits at No. 64 after dropping five spots from last week.
Of Big Ten teams, Michigan State is No. 13. The Spartans are ahead of Purdue, UCLA, Northwestern, Minnesota and Maryland.
Michigan State is 3-2 overall and 1-1 in Big Ten play. The Spartans have dropped their last two games, and have another tough test ahead this week against top 10 Oregon. The Ducks come in at No. 6 in Myerberg’s rankings.
Kickoff between the Spartans and Ducks is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET on Friday. The game will be televised on FOX.
