'Where do you want your statue' - Man United fans sent wild by Michael Keane goal vs Tottenham

Manchester United supporters continue to lavish praise on their Academy graduate Michael Keane following his stunning late equaliser for Everton against top-four contenders Tottenham.

United target Harry Kane - who has been earmarked as the number one option to bolster United in attacking quarters when the market reopens - opened the scoring with a penalty at Goodison Park on Monday night as centre-back Keane then had the final say with both teams finishing up with ten men.

Everton had Abdoulaye Doucoure sent-off for an incident involving Kane in which he raised his hands to the Tottenham frontman. Lucas Moura also saw red for the north Londoners as the sides had to settle for a share of the spoils in what was a high-octane meeting.

It means United are now sitting fifth after two defeats in their last three matches. However, the Old Trafford giants still have two games in hand in the quest for Champions League qualification while remaining level on points with two of the four sides above them.

Following the international break, United resumed their top-four charge with a 2-0 defeat against Newcastle on Sunday afternoon as goals from Joe Willock and Callum Wilson did the damage. That result was enough to move the Magpies up to third position.

However, while United were marginally leapfrogged by Tottenham on Monday night, they are still in pole to clinch a top-four finish. As things stand, there are no points separating Tottenham, Newcastle and United, but Tottenham have played two games more than their rivals.

Keane progressed through the famed Academy system at Old Trafford and made five senior appearances for United before moving on. Here are a selection of comments from United supporters as taken from Twitter as they continue to revel in his long-range equaliser and the impact it might yet have.
