With well over a month having passed since the start of the NBA’s 2023 offseason, we can make some strong assessments about how each team in the league has done with the tools available to them to improve their teams for the coming 2023-24 season.
To that end, the folks behind the Hoops Reference Youtube channel have put together a comprehensive analysis of the ball clubs in the NBA’s Eastern Conference in terms of their offseason moves to date, the Boston Celtics of course among the teams included in this assessment of the state of the East’s teambuilding so far.
And while the Celtics get some solid marks for trading away Marcus Smart and Grant Williams while bringing on Kristaps Porzingis, the club still seems not quite ready for prime time in terms of the supporting cast, preventing the highest of grades.
