Michigan State football is still in the mix for a bowl game this year, and Jerry Palm of CBS Sports thinks they’ll be bowling this postseason.
Palm released his updated bowl projections on Sunday, and Michigan State was once again in the mix and staying close to home. Palm has the Spartans landing in the Detroit Bowl and facing Miami (OH) of the Mid-American Conference. This was the same projection Palm had for the Spartans the last few weeks.
The Spartans beat Purdue this past weekend to remain alive for the postseason. Michigan State is 5-6 overall and 3-5 in Big Ten play.
Michigan State will wrap up the regular season on Saturday in a home matchup against Rutgers. Kickoff time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on Fox Sports 1.
