Where do Indianapolis Colts rank in key stats heading into Week 13?

Coming off a loss to the Detroit Lions, where do the 5-7 Indianapolis Colts now rank in these several important statistical metrics heading into Week 13?

With only five games remaining in the season, while all metrics to some degree need to be taken with a grain of salt because over a long season a team’s trajectory in certain aspects can change, we do also have a large enough sample size at this point that these stats do generally tell us who this Colts team is relative to the rest of the NFL.

While this article could be endless given all of the stats and metrics that are out there to measure a team’s performance, in an effort to be concise while still highlighting pertinent information, I boiled down my stat selection to the basics of football: run game performance, passing game performance, pressures, turnovers, third down and red zone success, and points.

So coming out of Week 11, here is where the Colts stand in those key categories with the help of Team Rankings and ESPN.

Third down conversion rate 36% 23rd
Defensive third down conversion rate 44.6% 28th
Red zone success rate 52.7% 24th
