It’s no secret that the New England Patriots have some of the most vocal and passionate fans in existence. But are they annoying?
And if so, how annoying are they in comparison to other NFL fan bases?
The Athletic compiled multiple polls from at least 85 players with one asking them to name the “most annoying fan base” in the league. Times are obviously different now with the Patriots no longer being perennial Super Bowl contenders, but that still didn’t stop players from mentioning their fan base in the recent poll.
From the players polled, the Patriots made up 4.1 percent of the vote as having the NFL’s most annoying fans. The Philadelphia Eagles topped the list at 25.3 percent, while the Dallas Cowboys barely missed the top spot at 24.7 percent.
Of course, there’s also the sad reality that there isn’t much to be annoying about these days for a Patriots fan base that’s already accepted the glory days as in the rearview.
