The Grand National is over for 2023 with Corach Rambler running out as the winner in the big race at Aintree.
39 runners and riders took to the famous racecourse for this year's renewal, with Corach Rambler going off favourite ahead of the delayed start to the race. The Grand National was due to get underway at 5.15pm, but the start time was pushed back by around 15 minutes after disruption from animal rights activists.
Trained by Lucinda Russell, the winning horse was ridden by Derek Fox - who came through a late injury scare this week to take the ride.

As one of the most valuable events on the horse racing calendar anywhere in the world, the prize fund for the Grand National is vast. Those connected to the winner are due to take a £561,300 cut of the £1m pot, with only the top 10 finishers earning any money. The runner-up will bank £211,100, while the third-placed horse will earn £105,500.
Even if your selection did not win this time, you may well have had an interest in an each-way bet. Bookies were mainly offering six places but the terms of several firms extended to seven.
