The cost of living crisis is hitting many families and eating out this half term might not be on the cards for lots of families. However, restaurants and cafes across Wales are offering some great deals to help make eating out cheaper.
From free meals to major discounts, lots of well-known names are helping families this October half term. Some of these deals are not just for children as adults can enjoy free meals or discounts too.

Many places in Wales have special deals, including supermarkets and restaurant chains, so we have taken a look at where you can eat out without breaking the bank. You can keep up to date with the latest What's On news by signing up to the newsletter here.

Morrisons Cafe
Morrisons are offering free meals for anyone of any age. They have teamed up with the company Heinz and anyone can 'ask for Henry' to receive a free Heinz meal.
The free Heinz Beanz meals will be available at all of Wales' Morrisons cafes from October 26, while stocks last. You can read more about the deal here.
Morrisons also have an existing deal of kids eating free when adults purchase any meal worth £4.99 or more. This kid's meal includes a piece of fruit and a drink as well as one meal from the kid's menu.
National Trust
National Trust cafes are offering for kids to eat free if adults spend £5 in the cafe. Children will receive a kids' lunch which includes a kids' sandwich, a piece of fruit, a kids' drink, kids' crisps, and kids' flapjack worth a total of £4.75.
The offer runs in Wales from Saturday, October 22 to Sunday, November 6 at these National Trust properties: Chirk Castle, Erddig, Powis Castle and Garden, Dinefwr, Dyffryn Gardens, Stackpole, Tredegar House and Rhosili.
Asda
Kids can eat for just £1 in Asda as part of an initiative that is running until the end of the year. There is no minimum spend from adults in order to get the deal and the kid's meals can be hot or cold.
Children under 18 months will also receive a free pouch of Ella's baby food with any purchase and those over 60s get 10% off.
Dobbies
Garden centre chain Dobbies is offering kids to eat for free with an adult traditional breakfast or main course. The deal includes the kid's lunch menu or pick 'n' mix deal, breakfasts and a drink. The deal is available all day every day. There is a Dobbies in Swansea and Wrexham.
Marks and Spencer
Beginning on Monday, October 31 and running until Friday, November 4 children can eat for free at Marks and Spencer cafes when adults spend £5 or more. The children get a free kids' meal which includes a main, a side, a drink, and a piece of fruit.
Tesco
From Monday, October 31 to Friday, November 5 Tesco is offering free kids' meals when shoppers spend at least 60p on fresh fruit and have a Clubcard. Included in the deal is the kid's breakfast, the kid's hot meal deal which includes veg, a side and a drink, and the kid's cold pick and mix deal which includes a sandwich, fruit, two snacks and one drink.
Hungry Horse
Every Monday at Hungry Horse kids can eat for just £1 for selected kids' meals. These meals include a chicken burger, vegetable lasagne, hand-battered fish and chilli.
Brewers Fayre
Brewers Fayre is also offering a free child's breakfast for up to two children per every paying adult. Breakfast is served until 10.30am during the week and 11am at the weekend.
Bella Italia
Every Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 6pm kids eat for just £1 when one adult main is purchased. The deal is for three courses and a Cawston Pressed Fruit water.
Ikea
These deals started in October and there are two deals running. Children can enjoy kids' pasta with tomato sauce and a soft drink for 95p and any other kids' meal for £1.50. The offer is available every day from 11am.
