Where Bolton Wanderers players stand in League One top scorers race compared to rest of division

The League One season is a week away from getting under way.

Bolton Wanderers are gearing up for the start of the new campaign, which gets under way at the end of this month. Ian Evatt's side begin their season on their travels to Portman Road to face Ipswich Town.

Dapo Afolayan was Bolton's top scorer last season with 14 goals in all competitions. Amadou Bakayoko was just one goal behind Afolayan in the club's goalscoring charts.

The Whites brought in more firepower at the top end of the pitch in January. Dion Charles arrived from Accrington Stanley, while Jon Dadi Bodvarsson joined from Millwall.

Wanderers begin the new season on the road to the Tractor Boys. Afolayan scored three goals against Ipswich in their two meetings last season.

SkyBet have released the latest top scorer odds for League One. Peterborough United's Jonson Clarke-Harris has been installed as the early favourite.

New Sheffield Wednesday signing Michael Smith closely follows him, with Oxford United's Matty Taylor also tipped to be in the mix. MK Dons forward Mo Eisa is also among the favourites.

As far as Wanderers are concerned, Charles has the best odds in the top scorer list with a price of 20/1. Afolayan, Bodvarsson and Bakayoko are also on the list but are more considered outsiders.
