Drama has moved away from the Coronation Street cobbles this week as the cameras have focused on the prison where David Platt is behind bars.
Corrie jailbird David has discovered that Josh Tucker, the man who raped him, is in the same prison and the action is filmed in a former prison building in Shrewsbury.
HM Prison Shrewsbury was a Category B/C men's prison in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, which closed in March 2013.
The prison opened in 1793 and is famous for a large number of executions by hanging that took place on its grounds.
Many of the executions were carried out by Albert Pierrepoint the famous hangman who carried out at least 400 executions in his 25-year career that ended in 1956
All executions were carried out at 8am and the bodies were buried in the prison graveyard in unmarked graves.
The building is currently open for interactive prison tours by Jailhouse Tours and tours are led by ex prison officers who were based there when it was a working prison.
The prison is also known as The Dana, the name of the road at the side of the prison.
The Grade II listed former prison building was sold by the Ministry of Justice in 2014.
Since its closure it has been used for filming and featured in the ITV drama series Prey as well as the paranormal investigation show Paranormal Lockdown.
It also appeared in three episodes of Most Haunted and a Halloween special.
The prison was built by renowned Scottish civil engineer and stonemason Thomas Telford.
