The Glastonbury Festival 2023 is under way and for those who can't make it this year you can still watch all the best action on TV this weekend. Festivalgoers are set to enjoy “dry, sunny weather” at Glastonbury, and you can recreate the festival spirit at home with a TV and our guide to where and when to watch all the headliners and top acts.
The Arctic Monkeys will headline on Friday despite health fears, and Hozier has been announced as one of this year's surprise acts.
On Thursday, Glastonbury co-founder Michael Eavis performed on the Park Stage in what his daughter Emily described as a “lovely moment” to “kick off the festival”. Hundreds chanted “Michael” as the 87-year-old was wheeled onstage in an office chair to perform a collection of classics as he recovers from an operation on his leg.
The festival co-organiser also revealed that Sir Elton John finally performing at Glastonbury for the first time in his career is the event she is most looking forward to. The Rocket Man singer, 76, is due to close the festival on Sunday night for what has been billed as the final UK show of his mammoth farewell tour.

Where, when and how to watch Glastonbury 2023 top acts and headliners on TV
Live coverage of Glastonbury Festival will be shown across BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three and BBC Four, featuring all the headline acts as well as some highlights from across the smaller stages from Friday to Sunday, reports The Echo.
Here's how the Glastonbury TV schedule looks day-by-day:
Friday, June 23
Coverage begins at 7.30pm on BBC Two, with highlights from performances by acts including Texas, Gabriels, Royal Blood, Warpaint, Sparks and Young Fathers.
BBC Three will also be showing coverage from 7.30pm, with performances from Carly Rae Jepsen, Maisie Peters, Fred again..., Digga D, Shygirl, Wizkid and Stefflon Don.
You'll need to switch over to BBC One for the headline Pyramid Stage performance from Arctic Monkeys, from 10.30pm until midnight.
There'll be further highlights from midnight back on BBC Two, including Kelis, Fever Ray and Hot Chip.
Saturday, June 24
BBC Two will be back with coverage from 5pm to 9pm on Saturday, with featured acts expected to include Raye and Jacob Collier.
Tune in to BBC One at 9pm to catch performances from Lizzo and Lewis Capaldi, before switching back to BBC Two to watch Guns N' Roses headline the Pyramid Stage from 10pm, plus highlights from Christine and the Queens and Fatboy Slim.
BBC Three will also be showing highlights from Tom Grennan and Aitch from 7pm, while BBC Four will have coverage including Jacob Collier from 8pm, Manic Street Preachers and Leftfield from 9pm, and Fatboy Slim from 11pm.
Sunday, June 25
The final day's coverage kicks off on BBC One at 5pm with performances from Blondie and Rick Astley. BBC Two then picks up the baton at 6pm, with highlights including Yusuf/Cat Stevens in the Legends slot and Becky Hill.
Switch over to BBC One for Elton John's last ever UK show as he closes the Pyramid Stage.
Meanwhile over on BBC Four, there'll be highlights from The Chicks and Dermot Kennedy from 7pm, Barrington Levy and Candi Station from 8pm, and The War on Drugs and Queens of the Stone Age from 10pm.
How to live stream Glastonbury 2023
You can find live streams from each of the five filmed stages on BBC iPlayer.
There'll be live streams available from the Pyramid Stage, the Other Stage, Woodsies (formerly the John Peel Stage), the Park Stage and West Holts, with more than 90 sets to watch across the weekend.
Key performances and interviews will also be streamed on BBC Music's YouTube channel - and the broadcaster also has a Glasto webcam where you can watch a bird's eye view of the festival site.
There'll also be radio coverage of the festival across BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music.
For the first time, the BBC will also be streaming Pyramid Stage performances live in British Sign Language.
Pyramid Stage - Signed will be available on BBC iPlayer and will be a brand new live stream, which provides every performance on the Pyramid Stage live in British Sign Language.
