When will Wales' Home of the Year series 2 be aired?

The popular BBC programme Wales' Home of the Year, in which impressive pads battle it out to be crowned the best in the country, is returning for a second series - and fans'll be pleased to know it's not too far away.

Hosted by broadcaster Owain Wyn Evans and judged by interior designer Mandy Watkins and architect Glen Thomas, the first series, which saw the trio search the nation for the 'perfect pad', proved to be such a success it's returning this summer and will feature 15 different houses across five rounds.

The first series aired in Wales last summer on BBC Cymru and it is now being shown to the UK as a whole on BBC Two, starting on Wednesday, April 12 at 8.30pm.

Applications for the second series recently closed, which means filming is just around the corner.. which means the programme will soon be back on our tellys - with new homes to oggle at. From old out-dated bungalows which have been lovingly restored to impressive interiors. And with houses big and small, expensive or budget-friendly, property fans are in for a treat if the first series is anything to go by.

But when is is back on? Here's everything we know so far.

When is series 2 airing?

While there has been no specific date for when Wales' Home of the Year will be on, we do know that it'll be at a similar to last year. Although no specific date has been announced we do know that the second series is set to air in August, which means we only have four months until we can feast our eyes on some gorgeous and jaw-dropping digs.

Who are the presenters?

Returning as the much-loved host of Wales' Home of the Year, Owain Wyn Evans - BBC weatherman and broadcaster - will front the programme alongside two property experts whose knowledge on the subjects of interior design and architecture will judge the houses in the running.

Mandy Watkins is a Welsh interior designer with over ten years experience while Glen Thomas, who grew up in Cardiff, is an architect who has worked with not just keen residential developers looking to give their home a new lease of life but a roster of glitzy clients such as David Bowie, Elton John and Donna Karan.
