When will supermarkets and shops reopen after the Queen's funeral

Today is officially a bank holiday for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and multiple retailers announced they would be closing their doors as a mark of respect.

Supermarkets and high-street stores have confirmed they will be closed to allow staff members and customers to pay respects and watch the late monarch's funeral.

The Queen's funeral will officially begin at Westminster Abbey at 11am this morning and anyone looking to get in some last minute essentials might find that they are unable to do so for the rest of today. Most supermarkets and retailers will be reopening as normal from tomorrow, but some smaller convenience stores will open their doors after the funeral today at around 5pm.

We have rounded up below the full list of confirmed reopening times for supermarkets and retailers across Scotland.

Aldi

All Aldi stores across the country are closed for the bank holiday and will reopen for normal operating hours tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20.

Lidl

Similar to their rival, Lidl have confirmed they will be closed entirely today and will be reopening all stores from 7am tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20.

Asda

All Asda stores will be reopening today after the Queen's funeral at 5pm, but there will be no online deliveries available until tomorrow.

Morrisons

Morrisons will be reopening for normal hours from tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20. The supermarket's petrol stations will reopen today at 5pm.

Sainsbury's/Argos

All Sainsbury's, Argos and Habitat showrooms will be reopening at around 7am on Tuesday, September 20. Smaller convenience stores and petrol stations will reopen from 5pm to allow shoppers to pick up essentials.

Tesco

Larger Tesco stores will be reopening for normal hours tomorrow, September 20. Smaller Express stores will reopen their doors today from 5pm.

Waitrose

Waitrose stores across Scotland will reopen from around 8am tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20.

M&S

Major M&S stores will reopen their doors tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20. Stores that are located in key travel hubs and public locations, such as hospitals, are open today as normal.

McDonald's

All McDonald's branches will be reopening after the Queen's funeral today at 5pm.

IKEA

All IKEA stores across Scotland will be closed today and will reopen tomorrow, September 20.

Homebase

Homebase confirmed that all stores across Scotland will be closed for the Queen's funeral today before reopening as normal from tomorrow, September 20.

B&Q

B&Q has confirmed that they will be reopening their stores and their online deliveries from Tuesday, September 20.

Home Bargains

Most Home Bargains stores across the country will be reopening from around 8am tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20.

B&M

Similar to Home Bargains, B&M will also be reopening their doors from 8am tomorrow, September 20.

Primark

Primark will be reopening all stores across Scotland from tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20. Most stores will reopen from around 8am.

Next

All Next stores and online deliveries will reopen as normal from tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20.

Poundland

Poundland stores will reopen from 8am tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20.

John Lewis

John Lewis stores will reopen from 9am tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20.

Currys

All Currys branches will reopen from around 9/10am on Tuesday, September 20. The retailer has confirmed that their customer support webchat and customer service line will be open today for any queries.

Dunelm

Dunelm has confirmed that of their branches across the country will reopen as normal from tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20.
