The most wonderful time of year is just around the corner as December edges closer. For many, it means tucking into a Christmas dinner and opening presents on the big day.
But for music fans, there is something more pressing on their minds as the festive season gets underway; this year's Spotify Wrapped. Millions of music streamers are eagerly anticipating their Wrapped - a round-up and analysis of their most listened-to tracks of the year.
The statistics detail how many hours users have spent listening to music and podcasts, as well as their most popular genres and artists. It also tells you what percentage of 'top listeners' you are in for your favourite artists.

There have been rumours that the Wrapped data is collected from January 1 until October 31 every year, but this actually hasn't been confirmed by the streaming service.
Spotify users have already begun sharing memes across social media as they excitedly anticipate the release of Wrapped 2022. Sharing a gif of singer Adele looking bored, Twitter user @sswiftmelody said: "me pretending i don’t care about my spotify wrapped so it comes faster".
Tweeting a photo of Squidward from the cartoon Spongebob Squarepants about to throw a fist, @all_timee_emily said: "DROP IT ALREADY #SpotifyWrapped" while @6ixGodCel said: "I’m ready for my fate just show me already #SpotifyWrapped".
When does Spotify Wrapped 2022 drop?
Spotify is yet to confirm an official date for Spotify Wrapped 2022. Last year's was unveiled on December 1, so if they follow the same trend then this year's could be released on Thursday.
The streaming service has been teasing updates on its social media pages over the last week. On Monday (November 28), it tweeted a link to a Wrapped 2022 landing page adding: "Want to be the first to know when #SpotifyWrapped is here? [Red heart emoji] this tweet and we'll remind you!"
The landing page, which features a black background and white text, reads: "Wrapped is coming. The story of your year with Spotify.
"Wrapped is a deep dive into the music and podcasts that defined your 2022. Keep listening to what you love, and we’ll shout when it’s ready. Until then, revisit the 2021 Wrapped hub."
Spotify Wrapped first launched in December 2016 and has since been a tradition every year since. It was preceded in 2015 by a similar but less developed campaign called Year in Music.
