Phillip Schofield is set to return to ITV in a number of days after dramatically quitting This Morning.
Releasing a statement on Saturday (May 20), Phillip announced he had left the programme he had hosted for more than 20 years and confirmed he had presented his final episode on Thursday, May 18. Holly has also since been missing from the daytime show.
It comes amid rumours of a "rift" between the two co-stars, who have worked together on This Morning since 2009.

It's the second job he has lost in less than a year, with the TV personality previously the face of We Buy Any Car for five years until his contract ended in October 2022 and was not renewed.
However, the 61-year-old is expected to keep a number of TV roles.
An ITV source is said to have told the Mirror: "[Phillip] was upset, but firm that if he was going to walk away he wanted to keep his roles on The Cube, the British Soap Awards, and Dancing on Ice – crucially, with or without Holly."
The British Soap Awards will take place on Saturday, June 3, and the ECHO understands this will be Phillip's first return to ITV, and to our screens, since his This Morning departure.
Kevin Lygo, ITV’s Managing Director, Media and Entertainment said: “Phillip is hands down one of the best broadcasters of his generation and we thank him for his two decades worth of absolutely terrific television on the This Morning sofa.
“We look forward to continuing our relationship with Phillip starting with The British Soap Awards in June and a brand new peak time series to come.”
Phillip Schofield's representatives have both been approached for comment.
