When will Manchester City’s kit be released and what does it look like?

As the season draws to a close Manchester City can’t afford to relax in order to retain the Premier League title. However, while fans will be on the edge of their seats and potentially dreading these last few games, there is now something else to look forward to in May.

On the club’s Twitter page news has broken that City’s new Puma kit for the 2022/23 season will be released this month. The video features some iconic goals from club legend, Colin Bell who spent 13 years at the club between the 1960s and 70s.

Yesterday, Monday May 16, there has been unofficial confirmation of the new kit design via a leak on the Puma website. The full home kit will be released and available to buy from there later this week.

Regarded as one of the club’s greatest players the new home kit draws inspiration from City’s ‘King’ which includes a small crown symbol on the inside back of the shirt. The kit will feature maroon detailing on the neck-line and the socks which is another nod to Bell’s era.

Other details on the sky blue kit include a central club badge and Puma sponsorship badge. Previous leaked images have shown Jack Grealish and Phil Foden wearing the shirt.

Manchester City ’s new Puma kit for the 2022/23 season will be unveiled on Thursday, May 19 where fans can expect to see the official first look of the new home kit. Fans can shop the current home kit via Manchester City’s online store and Puma’s store.
