The coronavirus crisis has put a stop to most international travel, with flights grounded around the world.
It's looking increasingly unlikely that Brits will be able to go abroad for their holidays this year - with Health Secretary Matt Hancock even saying that " summer is cancelled ".
Many will instead choose to holiday in the UK, just as soon as it's safe for caravan parks and holiday sites to open their doors once more.
They won't be able to do this until lockdown restrictions are lifted. While people in England can now drive to outdoor spaces for unlimited exercise, it is not currently permitted to stay overnight at any location other than your home.
Here's when we can expect caravan sites and holiday parks to reopen:
When will caravan sites and holiday parks reopen?
Under the current lockdown, people are not allowed to travel to campsites or second homes.
Different caravan parks and holiday sites have different policies as to when they will reopen.
Caravan Club is hoping to introduce a phased reopening of its UK sites in July.
Haven parks are closed until 2 July. If you are booked before then, Haven will contact you to offer either a full refund, or credit towards a holiday later this year or next year.
If you choose to postpone your holiday and accept credit, you will also get a £50 food and beverage voucher to spend on site.
CenterParcs is closed until 11 June 2020. If you were booked to visit before then, you can reschedule your trip (with a £100 discount) or accept a full refund.
The Camping and Caravanning Club has closed all its sites until further notice. Customers with a holiday booked in May are being contacted, and offered either a full refund or the opportunity to move their booking to later in the year.
Any new booking made at the moment is fully flexible, so you will be able to change date or location at any time, without being charged.
Hoeseasons is not accepting bookings for holidays arriving on or before 30 June 2020.
If you are booked before then, you can move your holiday to 2021, or you will be offered a refund.
Away Resorts has temporarily closed all sites. They are accepting new bookings for 3 July onwards. Customers with holidays before then are being contacted, and offered a refund or a date change.
Lyons Holiday Parks has cancelled all holidays up to 28 May 2020. They can be deferred to a later date, or you can get a full refund.
It is currently offering its 2021 holidays at 2020 prices.
Parkdean Resorts has closed all sites until 31 May 2020. Holidaymakers booked to travel before this date will be offered a full refund, or a voucher to the value of 120% of their original holiday.
John Fowler Holidays has closed all parks until 28 May 2020. You can reschedule your holiday or get a full refund if you are booked before then.
Butlins has closed all resorts until 2 July 2020. You can transfer your holiday to another date in 2020 or 2021, and receive a £50 resort voucher as a thank you.
You can also request credit, if you're not sure when you will be able to travel, or you can request a refund.
