Waiting to stream "Captain America: Brave New World"? Well, we don't have a Disney Plus release date just yet, but we do know when you'll be able to watch it at home via Premium Video-on-Demand (PVOD) services.
The first reactions to "Captain America: Brave New World" were positive, but as more reviews poured in, it became pretty clear that Sam Wilson's latest MCU outing didn't land with moviegoers.
As of our latest update, the movie has a 48% critics' rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of the lowest-rated Marvel movies on the platform to date.
With that less-than-stellar reputation, I wouldn't be surprised if many would-be viewers skipped "Captain America: Brave New World" in theaters altogether and have been waiting to watch it at home.
With that in mind, here's the latest news on the "Captain America: Brave New World" streaming date, along with our best guess at when the latest Marvel movie might come to Disney Plus.
When will 'Captain America: Brave New World' come to streaming?
As of today (April 8), "Captain America: Brave New World" has a streaming date.
Disney has announced that the movie is coming to PVOD platforms like Amazon on Tuesday, April 15.
Amazon currently lists the digital pre-order at $29, and Disney has revealed the release will come with bonus features, such as deleted scenes and a gag reel.
We still don't have a Disney Plus release date for "Captain America 4", but I'd wager you won't have too much longer before a streaming release.
Our guess is that "Captain America: Brave New World" will likely come to Disney Plus on (or around) May 14.
That guess is based on the fact that Marvel's 2023 features — "Quantumania", "The Marvels" and "Guardians of the Galaxy 3" — all took 89 days to come to the Disney streaming service.
The wait for 2024's only MCU movie outing, "Deadpool & Wolverine", was a little longer (97 days, to be precise), but given it was one of the House of Mouse's $1 billion+ box office successes of 2024, that longer wait seems unlikely here.
