There will be no football this weekend after the EFL, Premier League and National League all confirmed their fixtures were postponed following the death of the Queen.
It was confirmed on Thursday evening that the Queen had passed away at her Balmoral residence aged 96. European football matches taking place last night went ahead as originally scheduled, with several tributes being paid to the monarch.
However, the decision has been taken by football's governing bodies to cancel the schedule this weekend, citing it as a "mark of respect" to the Queen.

The Premier League has confirmed that all matches this weekend, including Monday's scheduled fixture between Leeds United and Nottingham Forest, will not go ahead.
There are no midweek fixtures in the top flight next week, either, with European matches to take place in the Champions League, Europa League and UEFA Conference League.
That means Premier League matches will not get under way again until next Friday (September 16), with Aston Villa hosting Southampton at Villa Park in the first game back. It will be a full schedule of Premier League fixtures that weekend, except for Brighton against Crystal Palace, which has been postponed owing to planned rail strikes.
In the Championship and across the Football League, it is expected that fixtures will resume again on Tuesday, with the EFL statement pertaining to postponements covering only matches this weekend.
Both Welsh clubs in the second tier feature on Tuesday night, with Swansea City hosting Sheffield United and Cardiff City travelling up to Middlesbrough. Newport County also head to Stevenage in League Two on Tuesday evening.
It should be pointed out that guidance issued by the government states that sporting organisations "might wish to consider cancelling or postponing events or closing venues on the day of the State Funeral".
An exact date for the state funeral is yet to be confirmed, although typically it would fall 10 days after the monarch's death, which would mean next Sunday. However, there is some suggestion it could take place the following Monday.
