People on certain benefits are set to receive a £300 cost of living payment in the coming months. The money is part of a government support package worth £900 being given to low-income households in a bid to tackle the cost of living crisis.
A £301 cost of living payment for people on benefits like universal credit was given out by the DWP between April 25 and May 17. However, due to delays or people later becoming eligible, a handful are only receiving the money this week. You can read more about that here.
Payments of £300 and £299 will automatically hit bank accounts between now and next April, but the exact dates for these have not yet been confirmed. Here is everything we know about when the next payment is likely to happen.

In 2022, the government handed out a cost of living payment worth £650 to people on means-tested benefits. While this year's £900 payment is being split into three separate instalments, last year's £650 payment was split into two - one of £326 and one of £324.
The first was paid to the majority of people between July 14 and 31 and the second payment was made between November 8 and 23 - so around four months apart.
This year the first payment was sent out between April 25 and May 17. If the DWP continues to leave a four-month gap between payments, this suggests the next one could be sent out in August. However, the government has previously said that the next instalment will be paid out in the 'autumn', meaning it may be closer to September or October when the money lands in accounts.
Earlier this year Martin Lewis, founder of MoneySavingExpert, predicted when each payment might arrive. Writing on Twitter he said he thought the £300 payment would arrive in October or November, followed by the payment of £299 before the tax year ends on April 6.
However, the exact dates for the payments will not be confirmed by the DWP until later this year. To get all the latest money-saving news straight to your inbox twice a week sign up here.
