When the 2022/23 Premier League TV fixtures for Manchester United and Man City are announced

With the Premier League fixtures for the 2022/23 season released at 9am on Thursday, many supporters will be wanting to know when they can watch their team on TV.

Both Sky Sports and BT Sport had immense ends to their club season coverage. Sky Sports broadcasted a tense final day title showdown that saw Manchester City go two goals down before claiming a 3-2 win over Aston Villa to lift the trophy.

Meanwhile, BT Sport covered the Champions League final, in which Real Madrid defeated Liverpool to become Europe’s best for the 14th time. They had rights to the early Saturday kick-off Premier League games last term while Sky were handed the later matches as well as most Sunday and midweek matches too.

Amazon are expected to win rights to several gameweeks again next season, albeit there are less festive period games to choose from this time around thanks to the Qatar World Cup. As a result of the tournament being held in the winter, the Premier League is to start a week earlier than usual on August 6.

It will also pause for a month between November 13 and Boxing Day as the World Cup takes place. The season also ends a week later than normal, on May 28, 2023.

Fans will be eager to see which teams they face at the start of the campaign and at the end, as well as being on the lookout for when the grudge matches are. For Manchester United fans, they will be keen to know when their derbies with City are.

The Premier League champions, like United, will be spying when they come up against Liverpool too. For those who cannot attend the games themselves, TV coverage is the next best thing.

Last year, TV matches were announced at the beginning of July. There is no set date for when Amazon, BT and Sky will confirm their August and September picks this time around but with the season starting early this year, fans could see announcements made before the end of June.
