When Storm Eunice will hit Leeds with 60mph winds and heavy rain

People in Leeds will be getting the full force of Storm Eunice today.

The Met Office has issued multiple weather warnings, which include advice for people to avoid travelling due to adverse conditions on the roads and disruption to public transport.

Leeds is covered by a yellow warning for wind that will last until 6pm today.

During the storm, which is expected to hit around midday, people can expect heavy rain, with downpours expected until at least 3pm.

Thereafter the rain will ease slightly while dull cloud will remain into the evening. Strong winds of up to 60 mph are predicted for the city in the afternoon and evening.

The temperature will drop to around three degrees by 7pm and stay that chilly overnight.
