Millions of people currently receiving Pension Credit across the UK are due to receive extra financial help during the autumn period.
The Department for Work and Pensions will begin to roll out the second half of the £650 cost of living payment from November after millions already received the first half of £326 last July. It means that those receiving Pension Credit may be eligible to get a boost to their finances.
However, not everyone on Pension Credit will be eligible for the second payment so it's important to double-check whether you will be receiving the money this autumn. We've compiled everything someone on Pension Credit needs to know about the second Cost of Living payment.
Who is eligible for the Cost of Living Payment on Pension Credit?
You will automatically be eligible for the second payment if you were entitled to a payment - or later found to be entitled - of Pension Credit for an assessment period that ended in the period between August 26, 2022 to September 25, 2022.
When will people on Pension Credit get the second Cost of Living Payment?
If you are eligible for the second cost of living payment and receive Pension Credit, then you should expect to see the payment land in your account between November 8 and 23, 2022.
You may receive the payment at a later date if you are awarded a qualifying Pension Credit or you change the account your benefit is paid into - the payment will be made automatically so you don't need to apply.
