Shakhtar Donetsk could announce the sale of Mykhayo Mudryk to Chelsea as soon as Sunday, according to reports. The deal to sign the 22-year-old has moved at an extraordinary pace with football.london understanding that Arsenal were as close as they had been to agreeing a deal on Saturday morning.
The entire landscape has changed though with Todd Boehly putting his new look recruitment team into immediate action. The Athletic write that he will sign a seven-year deal worth an initial £62million. That could rise though, with an additional £26million available in add-ons.
That is more than the amount offered by Arsenal, who had two bids rejected for the winger before offering around £80million for his services. It is believed a deal in instalments was favoured by the Ukraine side though. Chelsea now look set to announce their fifth signing of the window.

Having already brought in Joao Felix, Andrey Santos, Benoit Badiashile and David Datro Fofana, Mudryk is the biggest coup of the lot due to the attention he has been earning for his outstanding performanes in the Champions League this season.
Although Chelsea are in action on Sunday against Crystal Palace - where tributes will be paid to club legend Gianluca Vialli after he passed away last week - CBS reporter Ben Jacobs has stated that Mudryk could be announced before then.
He writes: "One other bit of news to add: at the Shakhtar end they expect to announce official confirmation of Mykhaylo Mudryk to Chelsea as soon as tomorrow."
Shakhtar themselves had already taken to social media to reveal that official talks had taken place with a deal 'very close', whilst Chelsea took it a step further by hinting on social media that Mudryk was a new member of Graham Potter's squad.
They then confirmed the talks, writing: "Chelsea are discussing terms with Shakhtar Donetsk for the transfer of Mykhailo Mudryk. Should a deal be agreed between the two clubs then the Ukrainian international, who can operate as a winger or a forward, will discuss personal terms with the Blues ahead of a permanent transfer."
Fabrizio Romano has also added his confirmation of the deal, giving his catchphrase to a deal and saying: "Mykhaylo Mudryk to Chelsea, here we go! Documents are being exchanged between Chelsea and Shakhtar. Deal will cost €100m (£88m) package as Ukrainian club always wanted.
"Mudryk, arriving in London tonight. Medical tests booked on Sunday then he will sign contract until 2030."
