When Kane, Ndombele and new Tottenham signings are returning to pre-season training with Conte

A matter of weeks after clinching a Champions League spot on the final day of the 2021/22 campaign, the Tottenham squad have already started trickling back at Hotspur Way to begin their preparations for the new season. Making big strides following Antonio Conte's arrival at the club last November, Spurs will be looking to hit another level under him in 2022/23 and hopefully lift some much-needed silverware.

A solid pre-season will put the team in good stead for what's to come over the course of the campaign, with Conte having his first real opportunity to spend a sustained period of time with his players after coming in during the season with games coming thick and fast. Tottenham players have perhaps already had a taste of what's to come this summer after doing double training sessions swiftly after his appointment as they looked to get up to speed after their struggles under Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Italian will work his team incredibly hard over the coming weeks, ensuring that they are in tip-top condition for the Premier League opener against Southampton and for the rest of the campaign. As is the case every pre-season, the players will return at different periods with a number of them involved in the recent international football that came to an end for some on Tuesday, June 14.

As reported by football.london last week, Spurs trio Matt Doherty, Japhet Tanganga and Oliver Skipp will return to Hotspur Way today to begin their pre-season preparations after missing a large chunk of football in 2022 through injury. Last featuring for Tottenham in January, football.london understands that Skipp is now fully fit after a pelvic injury and had already returned to pre-season training away from the club, going through a set programme of work prior to his return to their Enfield training base.

Tanganga and Doherty, who both suffered knee injuries, will now join Skipp in looking to make up for lost time over the next week and be in the best possible position for when the rest of the squad return to training. The rest of Tottenham's non-international players are expected back from Monday next week before the international stars return in time for the club's departure for their tour of South Korea.

Players such as Emerson Royal, Eric Dier, Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombele will be amongst the first to return after not playing international football in the summer, with Rodrigo Bentancur not involved for Uruguay after missing out on the squad through injury. New signings Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic will get to meet their teammates for the first time next week after completing moves from Southampton and Inter Milan respectively.

Spurs players will likely have to wait a little while longer to meet fellow new arrival Yves Bissouma as he was in international action for Mali in early June. As the midfielder did finish international action a lot earlier than some of his new teammates, Conte and his coaching staff could possibly want him in before the vast majority of international players are back, with Bryan Gil and Pape Matar Sarr potentially in the same boat having both last played on Tuesday, June 7.

International stars such as Hugo Lloris, Cristian Romero, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane will be in the last batch of players to arrive at Hotspur Way in time to depart for South Korea on July 9. As ever, players could return a bit sooner than expected if they feel the need for extra prep work or require treatment on injuries ahead of Conte's gruelling pre-season training.

Having spent time on the training ground with Conte and his team before departing for South Korea, Tottenham's first pre-season friendly of the summer comes against Team K League before they take on Sevilla three days later. Further games against Rangers and Roma are on the calendar ahead of the new Premier League campaign commencing.
