ITV Emmerdale and Coronation Street fans have been given notice of schedule changes as the soaps are cancelled tonight (Monday November 21).
The move has been made as the FIFA World Cup coverage begins on the channel. The football tournament kicked off on Sunday (November 20) and will run until December 8.
Consequently, Coronation Street and Emmerdale will be broadcast at different times to normal, with neither of the shows airing on Monday (November 21). On Instagram, a shared post from Emmerdale and Coronation Street's official accounts said: "Heads up, our schedules are a little different whilst the World Cup is on.
"Here's what to expect this week! As an extra treat, all episodes are ready to binge as a box set each Monday morning. But remember, this is a spoiler free zone".
A graphic then explained when soap fans can watch along this week. Emmerdale will air from 7pm to 8pm on Tuesday (November 22), Wednesday (November 23) and Thursday (November 24). There will also be an episode shown from 6pm to 7pm on Sunday (November 27).
Meanwhile Coronation Street will be broadcast from 8pm to 9pm on Wednesday (November 23) and Thursday (November 24). An extra episode will air on Sunday (November 27) from 7pm to 8pm.
No soaps will air on ITV on Friday (November 25), as the broadcaster will be providing coverage of the England v USA game from 6.05pm.
