The draw for the 2023 Women’s World Cup takes place this morning.
England will find out their path to glory in Australia and New Zealand with high hopes for the Lionesses after winning the Euros last summer.
A total of 32 teams, three of which are still to be confirmed, will be distributed across eight groups in Auckland ahead of the summer showcase.
Sarina Wiegman’s England are seeded in the top pot for the draw, alongside the United States, but could still face a tough group.

The Women’s World Cup draw takes place today, Saturday, October 22, 2022.
Proceedings at the Aotea Centre begin at 7.30am BST.

TV channel and live stream: The draw will be broadcast live for free on Fifa’s YouTube channel.
Who can England face at the Women’s World Cup?
England are in Pot 1 for the draw, along with the hosts. New Zealand are already allocated Group A with Australia in Group B. One team from each pot will be drawn into each group.
Seedings were determined by the Fifa world ranking as of October 13, 2022.
Pot 1: New Zealand, Australia, United States, Sweden, Germany, England, France, Spain.
Pot 2: Canada, Netherlands, Brazil, Norway, Japan, Italy, China, South Korea.
Pot 3: Denmark, Switzerland, Republic of Ireland, Colombia, Argentina, Vietnam, Costa Rica, Jamaica.
Pot 4: Nigeria, Philippines, South Africa, Morocco, Zambia, Play-off Winner A, Play-off Winner B, Play-off Winner C.
Ten teams, including Portugal and Panama, will take part in the play-offs in February.
When is the Women’s World Cup?
The tournament, hosted by both New Zealand and Australia, kicks off on July 20, 2023.
The group stage completes on August 3 and the final is scheduled to take place on August 20 in Sydney.
