When Is UFC 312? Full UFC 312 Fight Card & Event Information

The Dricus du Plessis vs Sean Strickland rematch has been officially confirmed and will headlined UFC 312 on February 9. The UFC Women’s Strawweight Title is also on the line in the co-main event, as Zhang Weili aims to win her sixth title fight.

When Is UFC 312? Du Plessis vs Strickland Rematch Headlines On February 9th

The UFC have officially confirmed that Dricus du Plessis vs Sean Strickland rematch will headline UFC 312 on February 9 at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.

Not only does this compelling rematch headline UFC 312, but there is also another fight for UFC gold in the co-main event.

Dricus du Plessis is of course the reigning UFC Middleweight Champion, having made one successful defence since winning the belt. Early in 2025, he aims to defend his 185-pound crown against the man he originally won it off at UFC 297 just over 12 months ago – Sean Strickland.

In saying that, the first du Plessis vs Strickland fight was extremely close, with ‘Stillknocks’ getting the nod via split decision last January. Both fighters have each won one fight since then, with Strickland defeating Paulo Costa last time out to earn his shot another shot at UFC gold.

Dricus du Plessis’ next fight against ‘Tarzan’ could arguably be his toughest title defence yet. He did of course beat the former long-reigning king Israel Adesanya last time out, but Sean Strickland provides a whole new test for the king of the 185-pound division.

UFC President Dana White is serving up a treat for fans with the second pay-per-view event of 2025. What a treat UFC fans are in for with a title fight doubled header in Sydney!

Zhang Weili Defends UFC Women’s Strawweight Title In UFC 312 Co-Main Event

Although the du Plessis vs Strickland rematch is headlining UFC 312, the co-main event is a quite remarkable fight too in itself. The UFC Women’s Strawweight Title is on the line in the UFC 312 co-main event, as the champion Zhang Weili defends her 115-pound crown against Tatiana Suarez.

Zhang Weili is widely regarded as one of the best female fighters from any weight class in the UFC, and looks to make a third successive title defence down under in Australia. Tatiana Suarez on the other hand has never fought for UFC gold, but is 10-0 and has never tasted defeat inside the octagon.

This is a cracking fight in the co-main event at UFC 312, and is arguably a main event in itself on another pay-per-view show.

Both du Plessis and Zhang go into their respective UFC 312 fights as the marginal favourites with the best UFC betting sites in the UK. This comes as no surprise given they are both the reigning champions and currently hold the UFC Title in their respective weight class.
