Yo! MTV Raps UK is returning for a second season on MTV. The TV show features a range of talent in the UK rap scene - both underground and more high profile talent.
The first season of the UK version of the show aired in 2018 and was presented by Snoochie Shy and Poet. Snoochie and Poet will be returning as the hosts of this new season, too. The US series of the show first began in 1988 and is iconically known for highlighting HipHope talent in the US, hence the name.
Now, following a three-year break, Yo! MTV Raps UK is returning for a second season this April.

For the UK version of Yo! MTV Raps, season 2, we can expect special guests including rapper and film director Rapman, afrobeat powerhouse NSG, Jamaican superstar Koffee, Hardy Caprio, Ghetts and many more talented musicians.
When is the Yo! MTV Raps UK season 2 start date?
Yo! MTV Raps UK season 2 starts on Tuesday 23rd April at 11 pm on MTV UK (Sky 126/Virgin 134). The series will also be shown on MTV Music and MTV Base and selected highlights will be available to watch on MTV.co.uk and YouTube.
Who are the presenters of Yo! MTV Raps UK?
Snoochie Shy is a 29-year-old TV and radio presenter best known for her show on BBC Radio 1Xtra. More recently, Snoochie appeared on the 2021 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
Poet is a podcaster and media personality who is known for his appearances on the YouTube podcast Half Cast Podcast, Filthy fellas, and more. He has also appeared on TV shows such as BBC’s Tonight with Target and previously worked for the football media business, Copa 90.
Together, Snoochie and Poet present Yo! MTV Raps as they share their passion for the UK rap culture and the budding talent there is on the scene.
