When is the UK’s next Amazon Prime Day in 2022? It’s here!

If you’re wondering when Amazon Prime Day is taking place, we’ve got some good news and some bad news.

First, the bad: the official sale took place over 12 - 13 July, so you’ve missed the boat there.

Now for the good news: the boat is back! The second Prime Day-like sale has begun, and it’s called the Prime Early Access Sale.

What is the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale?

Like Prime Day, it rewards Prime members with exclusive deals spontaneously. It’s second time lucky for anyone who missed out on deals in July’s main event, giving you a chance to check off your festive checklist before the discounts of Black Friday and Christmas come into play.

This year’s Amazon Prime Day 2022 saw some incredible roll-backs, from the lowest ever prices on Amazon in-house tech like Fire TV sticks, Kindle e-readers and Ring Video Doorbells to Nintendo Switch bundles and pounds wiped off the RRPs of splashy spends, like TVs, mattresses and vacuum cleaners. Now it’s here, we can say Amazon Prime Early Access Sale is a repeat performance.

Amazon’s has frogleaped over November’s Black Friday and the festive shopping period, giving bargain-hungry shoppers a chance to bag big discounts well ahead of Christmas.

When will the sale take place?

It’s happening right now, running from October 11 and 12.

Do you need an Amazon Prime Account to access the deals?

Yes. Just like the main sale, you will need to have signed up for Amazon Prime membership before the event starts. It costs £8.99 per month; for your can opt to pay £95 per year. Meanwhile Amazon Student membership fees are: £4.49 per month; £47.49 per year. For your money, you’ll have access to incredible deals as well as services and a world of entertainment and content.

What types of deals are there?

Lightning Deals and Deals of the Day are back. Like their name, Lightning Deals are limited time sales for a short period. Once product runs out, it won’t be coming back - at least, not at such low prices. Deals of the Day last the whole day unless stock runs dry first.

How to keep up with the best deals

Just like Amazon Prime Day in July, we will be running a live blog detailing unmissable products at stupendously low prices. Bookmark ES Best and check back over the sales period (once more for the people at the back, October 11 and 12) if you want a slice of the action.
