The Traitors has been heralded as the best new TV format 'in a long while' by BBC viewers, who can't get enough of Claudia Winkleman's rather brutal new show.
Arriving right as BBC One's primetime schedule is dominated by World Cup football, it's taken just a few days for The Traitors to be the show that everyone is talking about, with social media awash with people's opinions on the programme itself and its main protagonists. The job of hosting the mysterious new series is a million miles from Claudia's Strictly gig, with her coming across as more than a bit sinister as she holds court over the contestants as they aim to win a huge cash prize and work out who among them are the Traitors.
As presenters, it fell to Claudia to choose the three people who would be the Traitors in a secret ceremony where everyone, bar her wore a blindfolds to allow her selections to stay under wraps. Since finding out they were the Traitors, the three contestants in question have met under the cover of darkness and their capes each night, before choosing which of their teammates to 'murder' sending them packing from the castle and the show with immediate effect.

The first three episodes of The Traitors aired on BBC One last week, with many viewers bingeing them in one go. The drama went to a whole new level in the second week of The Traitors, with an epic cliff-hanger, before Claudia staged a huge twist by bringing back Amos and Kieran.
The scheduling of The Traitors was impacted by the World Cup, with episodes pushed back as the BBC showed matches live but, for the final week there will be no disruption, with the show airing over three consecutive nights, culminating in the final.
