Just weeks remain until the return of the National Ploughing Championships.
This year's championships - the 89th in the competitions history - are heading for a "superb, centrally located site" in Co Carlow.
The 2019 event will be held in the Ballintrane, Fenagh region of the county between Tuesday and Thursday, September 17-19.
National Ploughing Championships Managing Director Anna May McHugh said: "We are delighted to be staging the event in Ballintrane, Fenagh, Co Carlow, as the site has all of the criteria to qualify it as an excellent place to stage next year’s ‘Ploughing’."
Ms McHugh was speaking last year at the prizewinners banquet when she made the announcement.


She added: "I would also like to take the opportunity to thank the people of Offaly for all of the goodwill and support for the last three successful years, when the event was held in Screggan, Tullamore, Co Offaly."
Anna May McHugh congratulated the winners and also commented "that all of the hard work and training throughout the year has truly paid off so you should all truly enjoy your triumphs".
Current World Ploughing Conventional Champion Winner Eamonn Tracey, from Co Carlow is due to represent Ireland in at World Ploughing Contest 2019 this weekend.
It is being held will held on Friday and Saturday, August 30-31, on the Arnesen family farmland two miles south of Baudette, Minnesota, USA.
