When is the Locke & Key season 3 Netflix release date and who is in the cast of the new series?

Drama series Locke & Key is set to return to Netflix for a third season this summer. Netflix describes Locke & Key as a "coming-of-age mystery about love, loss, and the unshakable bonds that define family.”

Netflix has adapted Locke and Key from the best-selling comic book series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez under the same name. This Netflix adaptation is made by screenwriter Carlton Cuse ( Lost, Bates Motel ) and Meredith Averill ( The Haunting of Hill House ).

Locke & Key season 3 release date

The third season of Locke & Key will be available to stream on Netflix from August 10. The official synopsis for the upcoming season reads: “The Locke family uncovers more magic within Keyhouse, while a new threat, the most dangerous one yet, looms in Matheson with plans of his own for the keys.”

Who is in the Locke & Key season 3 cast?

The Locke & Key season 3 cast will include Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Aaron Ashmore and Jackson Robert Scott who will all return to portray their roles in the new season.

You can also expect to see Kevin Durand continue his role as Captain Gideo in season 3. Laysla De Oliveira is also expected to be making a return to the show as the demon, Dodge, while Sherri Saum and Coby Bird are also confirmed cast members set to be returning.

Is there a Locke & Key season 3 trailer?

The trailer of Locke & Key has now been released by Netflix. The one minute, 13-second clip begins with one character saying: “Our past is always with us.” It then proceeds to give snippets of the action viewers can expect to see in the season.

In the trailer, another character can also be heard saying: “This is our house. Those keys belong to us.” The trailer ends with the text “The final season”, hinting that there are many loose ends that need tying up.
