Sherwood viewers have been wondering when the final of the BBC One series is after a change to the scheduling for the penultimate episode. On Monday, June 27 fans of the programme were left fuming when the show was shunted at the last minute from BBC One to BBC Two due to Wimbledon, catching many people out.
While the series can be viewed on iPlayer, people who had set-top boxes ready to record Sherwood at 9pm found they had an hour of tennis instead. You can read more on this here.
The series, which stars Joanne Froggatt, Robert Glenister, Lesley Manville, and Adeel Akhtar, kicked off on Monday, June 13 and consists of six episodes. Created by James Graham, the thriller is inspired in part by real events and set in the Nottinghamshire mining village where Graham grew up. You can read more about the location here.
A synopsis for the series reads: "At the heart of Sherwood lie two shocking and unexpected killings that shatter an already fractured community and spark a massive manhunt. As suspicion and antipathy build – both between lifelong neighbours and towards the police forces who descend on the town – the tragic killings threaten to inflame historic divisions sparked during the miners' strike three decades before."
