The FA Cup third round is one of the most important dates on the English football calendar. In early January, lower-league clubs who have progressed this far hope to land a one-off opportunity against a Premier League or Championship big boy.
Third round giant killings have provided some of the most memorable moments in the sport. From the 732 clubs who entered the competition, just 64 remain as they bid to win the world’s oldest club competition.
Manchester United last won the FA Cup in 2016, with a 2-1 comeback victory over Crystal Palace. Pep Guardiola enjoyed recent success with Manchester City three years ago when his side demolished Watford 6-0.
